Multidimensional Trait Anxiety (Sport Anxiety Scale)

This is the Sport Anxiety Scale, a multidimensional measure of trait anxiety developed by Smith, Smoll, and Schutz (1990). It takes into consideration cognitive, somatic, and concentration disruption. You may not understand what this means so perform the quiz with help from your teacher or coach so they can explain what your results mean.

Read each sentence below which describes how you would feel in a sport situation. Mark your response indicating how you usually feel before or during competition. Answer the following sentences honestly and do not spend too much time on any one sentence. There is no right or wrong answers. Do not spend too much time on any one statement.
